Topped Toy tells us The idea for Topped Toys first came to us when we were discussing the frustration of lusting over toys, but having difficulty getting them delivered to us in Canada.

Many companies simply refused to process Canadian orders, or charged an exorbitant exchange rate, or charged extremely high shipping rates. Add our suspicion that toy manufacturers were inflating prices. So they decided to start looking into starting a toy company of their own.

Luckily, they have an expert marketer with an embarrassingly large twitter following. The second owner of the company has managed several startups and is quite the penetration expert. And the third one is a chemical engineer who worked in silicone medical device manufacturing. So, they had all the know-how what they needed.

So, they began by pulling out our extensive collections of toys. Boxes came out from under beds, storage units, and the top shelves of closets. Also they had catalogued half-melted dildos that was bought in from colleges, plugs that we outgrew, and odd shapes that looked like a great idea but weren’t. They did not foresee the rapid growth that we’ve experienced, or the worldwide audience our brand would attract. In light of that, we’ve had to recognize that the Mountie Toys name may have potential conflicts. That’s why they are really excited to continue creating amazing toys under our new name, Topped Toys. Nice name by the way.

1. Refrain from having Topped Toys come in direct contact with other toys. Contact with less expensive toy materials like urethanes, rubbers, and lower grade silicones can melt, discolour, or damage your toys. The best strategy is to keep each toy individually wrapped in a cotton bag or towel.
2. Store your toy on a smooth surface. Avoid sharp objects or uneven surfaces as they may damage your toy or cause indentations.
3. Storing your toys upright will minimize the chance of deformations due the toy’s own weight.
4. Silicone can be cut by sharp objects or contact with abrasive surfaces. Tears in silicone will make your toy more vulnerable to ripping.

Cleaning

1. Before using a brand new toy make sure to wash it thoroughly with warm water and soap.  We recommend a similar thorough wash after each use. Always dry your toys before storing them again.
2. Our silicone toys are dishwasher safe, even on the sanitize cycle. Make sure to place the toy in a flat part of the rack that doesn’t have pointy parts. Remove the toy from the dishwasher immediately after washing to avoid indentations from the dishwasher rack.
